Version 2026-11-07. assessmentcheck.ca is operated by Rodney Buchinski, a sole proprietor in Alberta (PO Box 1012, Red Deer, AB T4N 6S5).

1. What the service is

A free comparison of a home’s published assessment with similar homes, and an optional paid PDF report (“the report”) listing municipalities’ published assessment figures for similar homes. The site and the report present data only. They are not an appraisal, not legal advice and not a recommendation to request a review or file a complaint.

2. Your responsibility

You decide whether and how to use the report. You are responsible for any review request or complaint, its deadline, its fee and its contents. Check each figure with the municipality before relying on it.

3. Data

Figures come from municipalities’ open data under their licences. They may contain errors or be out of date. No municipality endorses this site or the report.

4. Payment and delivery

The report is paid in Canadian dollars through Stripe. It is delivered as a PDF download from a private link shown after payment. Keep the link; anyone who has it can open the report.

5. Refunds

If the report can’t be produced, or is for the wrong home because of an error on this site, contact us within 30 days for a full refund.

6. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, the total liability of the operator for anything arising from the site or a report is limited to the price you paid for that report. The operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including the outcome of any review or complaint.

7. Use of the site

Don’t scrape the site or use it to build lists of properties. Reports are for your own property matter.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada.
